LOT Polish Airlines has announced plans to expand the Business Lounge Polonez, located in the Schengen zone at the Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW). Renovation works will begin this month with the official opening scheduled for December.
In the renovated version of the Business Lounge Polonez, travellers will gain more space for relaxation and the interiors will align with the LOT brand identity. This is another investment by the national carrier, following the construction of a business lounge at the Chicago O’Hare airport (ORD) announced last year and the modernization of 787 Dreamliner cabins.
With the renovation, the Business Lounge Polonez will increase its space by an additional 153 square metres, occupying a total of more than 860 square metres.
In the expanded section, passengers will have a view of the terminal on the level below. Comfortable seating and sofas that elevate passenger comfort in the lounge are also part of the renovation plans.

From satisfaction surveys, we know that passengers rate the lounge very well, especially valuing our food and beverage offer. However, we realize that in the so-called “outbound waves” the lounge is visited by many travelers, therefore, as part of the modernization, we will introduce more space and modern amenities. I believe that the changes will provide even greater comfort, as well as the ability to work and relax freely. LOT Business Lounge Polonez is the largest lounge at the Chopin Airport, which is LOT’s hub. We want all our customers to experience LOT’s famous hospitality right here, even before boarding. We can’t wait to invite them to a completely changed interior,” said Izabela Leszczyńska, Director of Product Development and Customer Experience Department at LOT Polish Airlines.
The renovation will be carried out in stages. Business Lounge Polonez will be open seven days a week from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The official opening after the renovation is scheduled for December.
