Emirates rings in launch of Premium Economy offering in Brazil
Emirates celebrated the launch of its Premium Economy offering in Brazil today with a tour of one of its enhanced four-class A380 aircraft. The event began at Guarulhos Airport, Terminal 3, before attendees moved on to the guided tour of the product and enhanced interior across all cabins onboard the A380.
“We are honoured to celebrate the launch of Emirates Premium Economy in Brazil. Emirates Premium Economy has been available in Brazil from November and we are delighted to deploy the product on all of our daily flights between São Paulo and Dubai from 11 December. We are the only airline offering the Premium Economy experience on direct flights between São Paulo and the Middle East and this is part of our commitment to offering customers more choice when making travel plans,” said Stephane Perard, Emirates’ Country Manager for Brazil and Argentina.
“The experience of flying in Premium Economy has been winning over more and more travellers. It is an important offering for long-distance flights, especially in markets where there is a significant corporate traveler segment and audiences who prefer premium travel, such as in São Paulo. The arrival of this new Emirates Premium Economy offering to the Brazilian market will make the passenger experience on board even better,” said João Pita, Chief Commercial Officer, Guarulhos International Airport.
The Premium Economy offering launched in São Paulo on November 19, making it the first destination in Emirates’ Latin American network to offer Premium Economy, the press release said. The product is currently available on three of its seven weekly flights. Beginning December 11, the Premium Economy service will be available on all of Emirates’ daily flights between São Paulo and Dubai. The product will also launch on Emirates’ flights to Tokyo Narita for Brazilians on December 20.
On a four-class Emirates A380, the Premium Economy cabin is at the front of the main deck with 56 seats in a 2-4-2 configuration. The spacious seats offer in-seat charging points and a side cocktail table. Premium Economy passengers also receive inflight amenities, an inventive menu and extensive beverage options. Emirates Premium Economy is available on flights EK 261 and EK 262 between Dubai and Brazil.
