Allegiant relocates to BNA Satellite Concourse
Allegiant Travel Company announced it has relocated its Nashville International Airport’s (BNA) operations from Concourse B to the new Satellite Concourse as of October 21. In the press release, the company said the move sets the stage for the next phase of growth at BNA.
With the airline operating out of the C Gate Satellite Concourse, passengers board and deplane the aircraft in the new facility designed to improve travel experience, the press release said. The move allows the carrier to offer passengers a more robust schedule of flights, with potential for future expansion at Nashville International Airport.
"We are excited to have a new home at BNA. The new satellite concourse will give us the flexibility to better serve our customers," said Drew Wells, Allegiant's senior vice president of planning and revenue and chief revenue officer. "Nashville is a key part of our network, and this added capacity and new infrastructure will give us [the] opportunity for even more future convenient and affordable travel options at BNA, while bringing economic and tourism benefits to the communities in Music City."
"The opening of our new Satellite Concourse is a milestone for BNA as we continue to work to accommodate the exponential growth we're experiencing while simultaneously enhancing the passenger experience," said Doug Kreulen, president and CEO of BNA. "We are thrilled to have Allegiant Airlines as one of our key partners in the opening of our new Satellite Concourse and welcome in their next phase of growth here at BNA."
Allegiant has flown more than 1.9 million passengers through BNA since it entered service in 2018. In February 2020, the airline established BNA as a three-aircraft base of operations. In doing so, it created 66 high-wage jobs and invested US$50 million into infrastructure and equipment.
In response to high demand, the airline added a fourth aircraft and additional crews to better serve passengers from BNA. Allegiant currently employs 111 staff members at the Nashville International Airport and services 31 cities throughout the year. Of those, 19 routes are unique to Allegiant.
In July 2023, Allegiant announced it would add service from BNA to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, beginning November 16.
