Saudia has officially revealed its new branding strategy and aircraft livery at a special event in Jeddah. In the presence of Royal Highnesses, Excellencies, leaders from both the public and private sectors and media and aviation experts, the carrier shared its plans for strategic digital transformation, moving forward the goal of bringing tourism to Saudi Arabia as part of the Saudi Vision 2030 initiative.

The rebranding strategy is the beginning of a new era for Saudia, with the primary focus on sharing Saudi culture. The rebrand reinforces Saudia's national identity through products and services that appeal to the senses: distinct fragrances, locally inspired cuisine and more. The goal for Saudia is to impart the hospitality and welcoming spirit of Saudi Arabian culture into the flight experience for passengers, explains the September 30 press release.

Ground staff and cabin crew will receive new uniforms in green, blue and sand colours, representing the expansion of the fleet and destinations while remaining rooted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Saudia is undertaking a digital transformation to enhance the user experience through Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools like the virtual assistant, named Saudia, which helps travelers complete their transactions. Other aspects of the digital transformation include ensuring high levels of protection for personal data, streamlining operations and strengthening partnerships with global companies.

As the rebrand takes shape, His Excellency Engr. Ibrahim Al-Omar, the Director General of Saudia Group said, “We are experiencing a new era and a very exciting time for Saudia. Our airline has evolved from a Douglas DC-3 aircraft in 1945, to a 140-aircraft modern fleet serving over 100 destinations, becoming one of the largest airline in the region.”

“The name and logo of Saudia are integral parts of the Kingdom's aviation history and development, and our people share a special emotional connection with the brand,” added Al-Omar. “We have incorporated this rich heritage into our new identity, adding elements that reflect our visionary approach, poised to captivate the world."
