The highly popular Premium Economy records over 4,500 flights and 36 million kilometres flown worldwide

Emirates is celebrating the one-year anniversary of its full-service Premium Economy operations, with more than 160,000 travellers upgrading to experience the cabin’s luxurious features since its launch in August 2022.

The demand for this highly popular cabin class has exceeded expectations, with over 4,500 flights and 36 million kilometres covered globally.

Emirates’ Premium Economy attracts diverse travellers, with almost half being solo passengers exploring new destinations, and the other half comprising couples and families. Over 60 percent of last year’s Premium Economy bookings were from loyal Emirates Skywards members and regular travellers. The airline is expanding Premium Economy services to include Mumbai and Bengaluru flights from October 29, with more cities to follow.

The airline updates the Premium Economy menus monthly to offer a variety of flavours for seasoned travellers.

Presently, 20 aircraft feature the Premium Economy cabins, 14 of which were retrofitted in-house by Emirates Engineering in Dubai over the past nine months.

The rollout of Premium Economy is a significant part of Emirates’ multi-billion-dollar retrofit program, encompassing 67 A380 cabins and 53 Boeing 777 cabins, with over 4,000 Premium Economy seats, 700 First Class suites, and 5,000 Business Class seats receiving the latest interior upgrades upon completion.

Tickets for Premium Economy can be booked through various channels, including online platforms and travel agents.
