Dubai-based Emirates transports over a million children worldwide each year. Now as the summer holidays begin, the airline is highlighting its tailored services that meet the specific needs and desires of young passengers from diverse nationalities.

From snacks and naps to movies and free Wi-Fi, the airline is making sure to cater to kids’ top priorities.

Emirates offers an array of amenities to ensure a comfortable and safe journey for families. At international airports, priority boarding for families reduces waiting time and allows kids to settle into their seats more quickly. Dubai Airport, a hub for Emirates, provides complimentary baby strollers to ease the tiredness of infants and younger children.

The airline’s First and Business Class Lounges at Dubai Airport provide arcade-quality games and Sony PlayStation terminals in the kids’ play areas. These lounges also feature mother and baby care rooms, comfortable feeding areas, and baby changing facilities.

Emirates also provides for the needs of children between the ages of five and 11 who travel alone. To ensure their safety and comfort, the airline offers a complimentary Unaccompanied Minors service. Specialist ground staff and cabin crew accompany and supervise these young travellers throughout their journey. The Unaccompanied Minors Lounge further enhances the experience with video games, comfortable seating, and dedicated children’s bathrooms.

Emirates also supports children with hidden disabilities by providing information in advance. This allows families to plan and prepare for their travel. Passengers can access the Accessible Travel page on Emirates’ website, consult the Autism Friendly Guide, and reach out to the airline’s local office for additional assistance.

When it comes to inflight services, the airline provides a wide selection of tasty and nutritious kid-friendly meals on almost all routes and across all classes. Organic baby food, milk formula, and baby bottles are provided onboard for infants upon request. Moreover, parents travelling with babies receive an infant amenity kit, complete with diapers, a bib, lotion and a changing mat.

Emirates ensures infants under two years old have a comfortable snooze during the flight by offering seats with safe and cozy bassinets. Parents can also bring approved car seats onboard for added familiarity and safety.

Emirates’ inflight entertainment system, known as “ice,” guarantees endless entertainment for young passengers. From blockbuster movies to popular TV shows, kids can enjoy a diverse selection of content. The ice system includes new releases such as “Avatar: The Way of the Water” and “Shazam! Fury of the Gods,” as well as beloved franchises like Marvel Studios, Star Wars, and Harry Potter. Younger children can delight in shows from CBeebies, Nickelodeon, Disney TV, and Cartoon Network.

Children are also provided with special headsets designed for a comfortable fit and are offered a selection of toys and giveaways made from sustainable materials. The Fly with Me magazine, tailored for three- to eight-year-olds, features engaging activities, puzzles, and jokes.

With connectivity becoming a top priority for young travellers, kids enjoy free Wi-Fi messaging onboard in all Emirates classes. By signing up for the Emirates Skysurfers loyalty program, children between two to 17 years old can earn Skywards Miles on every Emirates and flydubai flight, unlocking further benefits.
