Emirates is gearing up for a busy season of travel and summer exploration by launching a range of exciting experiences for its travellers.

The airline is valuing its sentiment of “travel is not just about the end destination; it’s also about how you get there.” With this in mind, Emirates is set to make journeys magically memorable for its passengers.

To kick off the summer season, Emirates will be offering complimentary ice cream to its passengers at Dubai International Airport, according to a June 21 press release. From June 23 to July 16, passengers travelling on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays can enjoy a refreshing treat of vanilla, Arabic coffee and dates ice cream, or mango sorbet from one of the six eye-catching ice-cream carts positioned around the Departures areas.

Emirates is also making sure that every journey is filled with endless entertainment. Passengers can indulge in a vast selection of content through the airline’s inflight entertainment system, ice. With up to 6,500 channels of on-demand, multi-language entertainment, passengers can choose from over 45 Academy Award-winning films, more than 2,000 movies, 650 TV shows, and 4,000 hours of music, podcasts, and audiobooks across 40 languages. New releases such as “Avatar: The Way of the Water,” “Shazam! Fury of the Gods,” and “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” will be available, along with a wide range of content for kids and adults alike.

Sports and news enthusiasts won’t miss any action either, as Emirates offers five channels of live TV, including BBC, CNN, Sky News Arabia, Sport 24, and Sport 24Extra. Passengers can enjoy live coverage of events like Formula1, Wimbledon, and The Open Championship throughout the summer.

Onboard dining is set to delight passengers with seasonal specialties. Fresh, seasonal strawberries and burrata will be served as part of the delicious dishes offered onboard. Passengers can also quench their thirst with Emirates’ summer mocktails, featuring flavours like Tropical Twist, Rose Iced Tea, Citrus Twist, Raspberry Spice, and Mint Lemonade.

For passengers flying to and from the UK in July, Emirates has a special treat in store. Fresh, ripe strawberries from Dubai’s Bustanica vertical farm will be served to all passengers. First Class passengers can savour flavourful strawberry tarts or rhubarb and strawberry charlotte, while Business Class passengers can indulge in a white chocolate cheesecake or strawberry éclair. Premium Economy and Economy passengers will also have strawberry-themed desserts to enjoy.

Passengers travelling to and from Italy in August will have the opportunity to savour a smooth and creamy Burrata and fennel salad with grapefruit and orange segments, garnished with a tapioca crisp.

EmiratesRED.com, the airline’s duty-free shopping platform, has added more than 70 new luxury products onboard, including brands like Tom Ford, Jo Malone, La Mer, Tumi, Secrid, Alexandre J, and Dolce & Gabbana. Passengers can take advantage of summer specials and save $15 off any two fragrances purchased. The pre-order service allows passengers to shop from a wide selection of exclusive duty-free products, which are then delivered to their seats during the flight.
