STARLUX Airlines launches daily TPE-LAX flights and luxury amenities

The carrier launches its new “Travel like a Superhero” campaign, featuring Spider-Man™: Across the Spider-Verse on Asian flights

STARLUX Airlines has announced the expansion of its intercontinental route between Los Angeles and Taipei. Launched on April 26, the route, which previously operated five flights a week, will now provide daily flights. This expansion aims to meet the increasing demand for travel between the two vibrant cities.

“With rising demand, the increased frequency of our LAX-TPE route will allow passengers to travel comfortably and conveniently to and from major cities in North America and Asia,” said STARLUX CEO Glenn Chai in a June 6 press release. “And our exclusive amenities from luxury brands, as well as our unique Dodgers and Clippers-themed amenities align with STARLUX’s mission to make flying a truly memorable and luxurious experience.”

Passengers travelling on these flights will be treated to an exclusive experience with STARLUX’s new “Home-in-the-Air” amenities. Collaborating with renowned Italian luxury brands FPM and Bric's Milano, as well as Samsonite RED, the airline has introduced a series of co-branded amenity kits. These exclusive kits combine elegance and functionality, designed to provide a touch of luxury during the journey. First Class passengers will enjoy an amenity kit co-branded with FPM, featuring “The Ritual of Jing” cosmetics from Rituals, while Business Class passengers will receive kits resembling the classic Bric’s suitcase. Premium Economy passengers will be provided with earth-toned Samsonite RED series kits, and Economy Class passengers will have eco-friendly kits adorned with Taiwanese Aboriginal totems.

STARLUX Airlines has also unveiled an exciting collaboration with Sony Pictures Animation’s latest film, Spider-Man™: Across the Spider-Verse. To celebrate the release of the film, the airline has launched the “Travel Like a Superhero” campaign, offering passengers a chance to experience the Spider-Verse theme on all Asian routes. Running through August, this campaign will bring Spider-Verse goodies onboard in all classes, adding a touch of adventure and excitement to the travel experience.

On long-haul flights, the airline has incorporated sports-themed amenities tailored to the interests of passengers. Passengers flying the LAX-TPE route will be treated to LA Dodgers-themed amenities, while those on the TPE-LAX route can enjoy LA Clippers-themed amenities. These special amenities include themed meal packaging, playing cards, eye masks, luggage tags, and boarding passes, all adorned with the respective team's branding.

Passengers embarking on Spider-Verse-themed flights will find an exclusive boarding pass featuring Miles Morales and other Spider-People, along with Spider-Verse-themed stickers and luggage tags. The curated themed amenities create an immersive onboard environment, with Spider-Verse elements appearing on items such as paper cups, napkins, and children's meal boxes. STARLUX Airlines’ popular playing cards have also received a special edition featuring Spider-Man™ characters.
