Emirates unveils Premium Economy Class at Arabian Travel Market

Emirate's Premium Economy Class will be available to travelers on A380 routes to London, Paris, Sydney in August, and Christchurch in December

Emirates unveiled its full Premium Economy Class experience at the Arabian Travel Market 2022 and said it will open this cabin for sale starting in June.

The new cabin class, which offers luxurious seats, and more legroom, will be available to Emirates travelers on high-traffic A380 routes to London, Paris, Sydney from August 1, and Christchurch from December.

“Customers trading up from Economy will be getting excellent value,” said Emirates President Sir Tim Clark in a May 9 press release. “Since we first introduced our Premium Economy seats in January 2021, the positive response and demand has been tremendous. We currently have six A380s equipped with this cabin class."

Clark said in November Emirates will begin to install its Premium Economy Class on 67 A380s and 53 777s. Emirates will have 126 aircraft fitted with Premium Economy cabins.

“It is a major investment to ensure our customers continue to have the best experience in the sky,” said Clark.

Each seat has a 13.3-inch screen with up to 5,000 channels of music, movies, TV, news, and other content

According to the Emirates, the cream-colored leather seats have a pitch of up to 40 inches, is 19.5 inches wide, and reclines eight inches into a comfortable cradle position with ample room to stretch out. It also offers calf rests and footrests for additional comfort, and easily accessible in-seat charging points and a side cocktail table.”
