TAP flies new A321LR

By PAX International

On May 11, TAP Air Portugal’s first A321LR took to the skies, with Prague as its first destination.

The new Airbus model is TAP’s first-narrow body aircraft capable of operating transatlantic routes. It features 16 seats in Executive Class (including four individual) and the equivalent Economy space of an A330neo.

This A321LR, which is the first of 14 the airline has ordered from Airbus, can carry up to 168 passengers. According to a statement from TAP, this aircraft, in addition to its A330neo, strengthens its medium- and long-haul services. TAP is the first airline in the world to operate both the A330neo and the A321LR, the statement noted.

TAP is slated to accept 37 new aircraft this year, and 71 by 2025.
