Star Alliance has opened the doors on its newly updated 980-square-meter lounge at Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).

The Terminal 1 lounge, which features design elements inspired by Paris, seats 220 First and Business Class or Star Alliance Gold members on member airlines Aegean Airlines, Air China, ANA, Asiana Airlines, EGYPTAIR, EVA Air, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Turkish Airlines and United.

Christian Draeger, Star Alliance VP Customer Experience, commented in a press release: “The newly renovated Star Alliance Lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle ties in seamlessly in our strategy of making the customer journey better. We are delighted to be able to offer our guests traveling from or transiting through Paris now with an unparalleled hospitality experience in a well equipped environment, where they can sit back, relax and enjoy their journey.”

The lounge first opened in 2008 and provides a panoramic view of the airport from the upper floor and features a landscaped garden. An exclusive zone for customers traveling in First Class on Air China, Singapore Airlines and Thai Airways operated flights is also available. Customers can take advantage of complimentary drinks and a selection of international hot and cold meals, with some selections inspired by French cuisine.

Wi-Fi and quiet work spaces are located on both levels of the lounge, along with an expanded number of power sockets. Other amenities include shower facilities, state-of-the-art television screens and a wide selection of international newspapers and magazines.

Seven other Star Alliance-branded lounges can be found around the world including Amsterdam (AMS), Buenos Aires (EZE), Los Angeles (LAX), Nagoya (NGO), Rio de Janeiro (GIG) Rome (FCO) and Sao Paulo (GRU).
