Alaska Airlines celebrates Incredibles 2 with themed 787-800

To celebrate the upcoming release of Disney•Pixar's Incredibles 2 on June 15, Alaska Airlines decked out one of their 737-800s, tail number N519AS, with the likeness of the Supers, the superhero family at the center of the anticipated sequel. The aircraft was unveiled n May 5 at Alaska's Seattle hangar and began flying the following day.

"This plane will delight guests of all ages from San Francisco to New York and beyond," said Natalie Bowman, Alaska Airlines' managing director of brand marketing and advertising, in a May 5 release. "Like all of us at Alaska Airlines, many of our guests have anxiously awaited Incredibles 2. We're honored to take this incredible family to new heights and share the imagery with travelers across our expansive route network."

"These characters are among the most celebrated characters in the Pixar family," said Incredibles 2 producers Nicole Grindle and John Walker in the same release. "After waiting 14 years to see them on the big screen again, fans will love seeing them on their Alaska Airlines plane, too."
