deSter launches serviceware for Eurostar Plus and Premier classes
deSter has announced the launch of a range of onboard equipment for Eurostar. This collaboration underscores both Eurostar’s and deSter’s shared commitment to elevating the guest experience with sustainable products designed to reduce weight and waste, the January 6 press release said.
The chinaware set, named PURE, consists of seven meticulously crafted items: a canapé plate, cup, main hot dish (cassolette), salad bowl, side plate, small bowl and under plate. deSter and Eurostar are also set to introduce a range of SAN items in the same design next year.
“We are incredibly proud of our partnership with Eurostar and the opportunity to create a truly bespoke serviceware range for them,” said Rob Weightman, Director Business Development Travel Europe at deSter. “Eurostar was particularly drawn to the elegant curves of our PURE design chinaware, which inspired the creation of the entire collection. This is a unique range, tailored specifically for Eurostar’s needs, and we are delighted to be part of this innovative project that enhances both the aesthetic and sustainable elements of their onboard service.”
“Eurostar has enhanced its dining experience by introducing refined glassware and fine china crockery, ensuring every detail reflects quality and modernity. The promise: A premium offer that shakes up the norms of European travel,” said Yann Bayeul, OBS Contract & Service Innovations Manager at Eurostar.
The suite of chinaware is available in Eurostar Plus and Eurostar Premier. Additionally, a matching range of premium reusable plastic items will be launched on other European routes this month to further support Eurostar’s sustainability objectives.
