En Route appoints Marcus Nilsson as Commercial Director
Marcus Nilsson, Commercial Director at En Route
En Route International has chosen Marcus Nilsson to take on the role of commercial director. In this newly established position, Nilsson’s primary focus will be on boosting sales revenue and enhancing margins across the organization. He will be fully responsible for overseeing the global sales and commercial department, supporting the board in devising commercial plans, fostering strategic partnerships, and implementing effective sales strategies worldwide.
“We are delighted to welcome Marcus to the team at a time of exponential growth for the business,” said Nick Wiley, managing director at En Route, in an August 7 press release. “Marcus holds significant expertise within the industry and he will play a crucial role as we maximize existing opportunities in the business on a global scale.”
Working from the company’s headquarters in Windsor, Nilsson will not only manage En Route’s presence in the U.S. but also lead sales and account management activities within EMEA. He will also collaborate closely with the director of APAC to meet customer-driven sales strategies and targets.
Having gained valuable experience during his eight-year tenure at Gategroup, Nilsson held various commercial development and director roles, including global director. His recent roles as group business development director with SSP Group and director of new business for Costa Coffee have further honed his expertise.
Nilsson added in the same release, “I’ve been aware of the solid reputation En Route holds in the industry for some time, and for me its customer list speaks volumes about the business and the opportunity itself. It really is an exceptional business that I’m proud to be a part of.
“The passion and commitment of the highly experienced team, who are all specialists with a deep understanding and knowledge of the market, is really impressive. I’m looking forward to supporting Nick and the wider Senior Leadership Team with En Route’s ambitious growth plans.”
