Delta names new Chief Sustainability Officer

By Rick Lundstrom

Delta Air Lines announced today that Pamela Fletcher will join the airline February 1 as Senior Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer.

Fletcher comes to the airline from General Motors, where she was Vice President of Global Innovation, responsible for developing and growing new businesses, entering new markets and attracting new customers. Before that, Fletcher was Vice President of Electric Vehicles at GM.

“As we move into the next phase of the recovery, we’ll be building on our sustainability efforts and expanding our leading position in the industry on our path to net zero,” said Delta CEO Ed Bastian, in today’s announcement. “I’m happy to announce that Pamela Fletcher will be joining Delta to lead that effort as our new Senior Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer – the airline industry’s only C-Suite level CSO.”
