At IFSA Global EXPO in Long Beach, California, Foodcase International introduced a partnership with Omnevo that blends artificial intelligence, nutrition and mindfulness into a holistic travel concept: Guru Yogi Namak.
The offering creates a pre-, during- and post-flight well-being journey, centered around an AI-powered companion. With Omnevo’s support, passengers can interact with Guru Yogi Namak via an app, asking questions and receiving personalized guidance based on how they feel—or how they want to feel while traveling.
From breathwork exercises to encourage relaxation, to stretches designed for the cabin, the app tailors its advice to each passenger’s needs. It can also suggest routines to ease stress, improve sleep or sharpen focus, making the travel experience more restorative.
Alongside the digital app, the Guru Yogi Namak product line offers a variety of functional food and beverage items designed to support wellness in the air. Highlights include grounding chocolates infused with ashwagandha and sea salt to release serotonin and replenish electrolytes, jet lag lozenges, immune-support vitamin gummies, instant bone broth and noodles, and tea blends to promote hydration, energy, or rest. The range also features hydration and electrolyte drinks, pet-free millet porridge, and a digestion-friendly formula made with pineapple and papaya.
Guru Yogi Namak can recommend products based on the traveler’s emotional state, travel journey and goals—whether that is concentrating on work, reducing allergen anxiety or getting quality rest.
“The goal is for travelers to feel more empowered along their journey,” says Marc Warde, Special Meal Program Director at Foodcase International, who shared that his own experiences with travel anxiety and food allergies inspired the project. “Guru Yogi Namak aims to bring both food and well-being together to help make the journey more enjoyable.”
Foodcase CEO Geert Doek praised Warde’s role in the initiative, telling PAX International, “Marc is our culinary expert for all products, he is very committed to making travel better for all passengers.”
For Omnevo, the collaboration represents what it calls a “fresh twist to onboard retail,” merging wellness with the convenience of an AI shopping agent. The concept drew strong interest from airlines at the EXPO, with live demonstrations taking place at the Foodcase booth.
“Think: healthy, wellness-focused product choices curated in a fun and interactive way to inspire airlines looking to add more feel-good moments to their inflight retail programs,” Omnevo noted in a LinkedIn post.
