British Airways brings PureOaty onboard
PureOaty will be the official supplier of plant-based milk for British Airways
Glebe Farm Foods has announced that PureOaty is the official supplier of plant-based milk onboard British Airways long-haul Business Class flights. The partnership will see the Barista oat drink, a 100 percent British-made product, served in hot drinks on international flights departing from London Gatwick (LGW) and London Heathrow (LHR) airports.
“PureOaty [is] now listed on British Airways Long Haul, allowing millions of consumers to try our great-tasting PureOaty Barista. Great to see British Airways ‘walking the talk’ supporting British, sustainable, healthy products,” said Tony Holmes, Chief Operating Officer at Glebe Farm Foods, via LinkedIn.
PureOaty is the only gluten-free oat drink on the UK market to be certified by Coeliac UK, a press release from Glebe Farm Foods said. The brand also prioritizes sustainability with PureOaty’s food miles at 150 metres; this is because Glebe Farm Foods’ processing and packing take place at its local Cambridgeshire site.
“To say we’re flying high with this win would be an understatement. British Airways is an iconic, homegrown brand synonymous with impeccable standards, so to secure such a significant contract is a real milestone for our business. We’re also delighted to collaborate with an airline so aligned to our core values in terms of environmental practices, proud heritage, and championing of British-made products," said Philip Rayner, Managing Director of Glebe Farm Foods.
“Thanks to a seamless start, the partnership is already off the ground and passengers are now taking to the skies while enjoying their favourite hot drink made with delicious, barista-quality PureOaty.”
