British Airways has partnered with Hoppers on Colombo menu
British Airways is introducing a limited-time menu developed with London-based Sri Lankan and South Indian restaurant group Hoppers to mark its new London Gatwick–Colombo service. Available in Club World on outbound flights from October 23 to December 30, the menu draws on Hoppers’ signature dishes.
Passengers can start with lentil vadai served with yoghurt, tamarind, coriander chutney and crisps. Main courses include Kalupol-spiced chicken with lemon rice and beetroot curry, or Pollichathu cod marinated in tomato chilli paste and cooked in banana leaf, accompanied by coconut rice and pineapple curry. Watalappam bread pudding with spiced crumble and malt cream completes the meal.
The collaboration extends to British Airways’ Club Lounge at Gatwick, where the Ceylon Pearl cocktail combines Tanqueray Rangpur gin, lychee and pink citrus tonic.
“Working with Mark and the team, we’ve created a menu that celebrates the flavours of Sri Lanka through a uniquely British lens, all with the unmistakable Hoppers touch,” said Karan Gokani, Founder of Hoppers.
The winter-season route launches October 23 with three weekly flights, offering World Traveller, World Traveller Plus and Club World cabins.
