SWISS gives passengers a preview of inflight menus before departure
SWISS passengers can preview inflight food and beverage options before departure through the airline’s new digital menus
SWISS has introduced new digital menus, giving passengers a preview of the food and beverage options available on board before they travel.
The menus are designed to help passengers better plan their journey and make more conscious choices about their inflight meals. Whether flying to Barcelona, New York or another SWISS destination, travelers can now review meal options online before departure.
“Many of our guests tell us that they would like to know in advance what they can expect on their flight, just as they may check out a restaurant’s menu online before dining there,” said Heike Birlenbach, Chief Customer Officer at SWISS. “With our digital menus, we are giving them greater transparency here, along with even more reason to look forward to their coming SWISS travel experience.”
The digital menus are available online at least six weeks before the flight and can be viewed without entering a booking code. Passengers who enter their booking details can access additional services, depending on the route and class of travel.
For travelers in SWISS Premium Economy, SWISS Business and SWISS First, the platform offers an expanded or guaranteed selection of inflight meals up to 24 hours before departure. On most short-haul services, SWISS Economy passengers can also pre-order meals up to 36 hours before their flight.
SWISS has bundled the menus and related services into its SWISS Culinary Journey platform, creating one central place for passengers to view options and make meal selections. The platform is available through the “Meal” button in the SWISS app or through the airline’s website.
The new digital menus supplement SWISS’s printed inflight menus, which will continue to be offered on board.
