En Route announces major recruits as part of Americas and APAC growth strategy

En Route has strengthened its Americas and APAC presence with a raft of new appointments, it has been announced today.

The new appointments for The Americas region include, Steve Mitchell, who will take the role of Director; Everly Byrd, as Supply Chain Manager; Pamela Roybal, as Technical Manager, and Lisa Marie-Pitts, as Senior Account Manager.

Mitchell is a seasoned professional, having managed and built sales and retention teams specializing in B2B solutions across various sectors, including business and industry, education, manufacturing, hospitality and healthcare. He has previously worked for ePallett, Guckenheimer, Sodexo and Compass Group.

Byrd, Roybal and Marie-Pitts bring with them extensive experience in supply chain, food technology, and key account management, respectively.

Meanwhile, in APAC, the company has enhanced its culinary team with the appointments of James Stack, as Head of Food and Anuj Ohlan as Senior Food Technologist.

"The appointments support En Route's ongoing investment in strengthening its global operations. This includes significant resources dedicated to developing advanced software for demand management and optimization, as well as enhancing category management," En Route tells PAX International.

Additionally, the company is upgrading its back-office systems with invoice and workflow software to improve efficiency in finance and accounting processes.

The intention is for The Americas and APAC regions to double its commercial contribution over the next 12 to 24 months.

Nick Wiley, Managing Director, En Route, says, "We are delighted with our new appointments. Each individual brings a very different perspective and skillset to our business. This is vital to ensure that we are constantly innovating and progressing.

En Route’s turnover is approaching £70 million (US$89.5 million) this year.

Wiley adds, “En Route is clearly positioned as a specialist in passenger solutions, sourcing and supply chain services, and the investment in people and technology will ensure that we can push forward with the En Route way of delivering excellence across our network; engaging directly with caterers to effectively manage supply and demand planning and logistics execution. It is shaping up to be very exciting 12 months ahead.”
