Steeped in luxury: Harrods Tea Room Downtown experience with Qatar Airways
Qatar Airways not only brings world-class food, drink and hospitality to the skies, but also to Qatar's capital city. Qatar Airways opened the Harrods Tea Room in Barahat Msheireb in 2022, the centre point of Msheireb and the largest open-air square in the MENA region.
The Harrods Tea Room Downtown continues the legacy of bringing the rich tradition of celebrating tea to Msheireb Downtown, offering one of the finest tea menus in the world and promising a tiered selection of mouth-watering treats—bringing the taste of Harrods to the heart of Doha.
This winter, PAX International Publisher Aijaz Khan and Social Media Executive Yasmin Khan visited the elegant Harrods Tea Room Downtown. The space offers a lavish setting where patrons can indulge in an afternoon tea experience akin to Qatar's inflight and lounge services, complete with a curated selection of Harrods teas, freshly baked scones, finger sandwiches and a variety of delicate pastries.

Sipping the tea
The inflight Harrods Tea Service was originally introduced in 2017. The partnership allows Qatar to offer passengers a luxurious and traditional afternoon tea experience at 35,000 feet, complete with a curated selection of Harrods teas, fine china and a variety of gourmet pastries and scones. The service was initially available to First and Business Class passengers, providing a taste of British luxury and refinement in the skies.
Qatar introduced its Harrods Tea Room experience to its Al Mourjan Business Lounge at Hamad International Airport (DOH) in 2019, offering travellers a moment of indulgence, comfort and luxury during the journey, making it a perfect addition to Qatar Airways’ exceptional offerings.
