gategroup highlights holiday menus for Lufthansa, Aeromexico and SWISS
gategroup is introducing seasonal holiday menus for Lufthansa, Aeromexico and Swiss International Airlines (SWISS).
Until December 26, Lufthansa will be serving its holiday menu in all First and Business Class cabins on Intercontinental flights and between December 4 and 17, in Business Class for all Continental flights. Economy Class passengers will receive gingerbread treats, fresh clementines and a chocolate Santa Claus. These items will also be available for First and Business class.
The special holiday meal served this year to the First and Business Classes is a Christmas Roast goose with sauce, red cabbage and potato dumplings.
Aeromexico will be serving special menus with Christmas flavours in Premier Cabin on select routes. On all international flights from Mexico City, passengers can enjoy a roasted turkey with gravy, rustic mashed potatoes, Christmas stir-fry and caramelized Brussels sprouts. Recipes with Turkey will be available in all the returns from Bogota and Lima, such as rolled turkey in apple sauce. Passengers on flights from London, Amsterdam, and Paris will also be served special desserts. All flights from the United States and Rome will feature turkey as the main dish for the Christmas season and service from Madrid will offer a chicken stuffed with foie gras and raisins.
With Swiss heritage, there is not just one particular Swiss Christmas dish, but a variety of culinary holiday favourites to choose from. Therefore, SWISS will serve up a special holiday menu from December 18 to 31, drawing inspiration from the tastes and textures of national cuisine and bringing them to all its long-haul cabins on flights departing from Switzerland.
Passengers in First class will be able to savour a Beef Wellington with PĂ©rigord truffle jus accompanied by glazed root vegetables. Business Class travellers will see a smoked duck breast and sumptuous venison terrine with orange and pumpkin compote, roasted walnuts and celery salad. Both First and Business Class passengers will have other dishes to choose from, and a dessert that features cinnamon and different fruit compote.
Those travelling in Premium Economy and Economy cabins can enjoy braised beef with red wine sauce, potato gratin with Sbrinz cheese and red cabbage with apple, followed by a cinnamon-spiced dessert.
