Aeromexico selects gategourmet Korea for catering services on MEX to ICN route
Aeromexico has resumed its operations from Mexico City (MEX) to Seoul (ICN), South Korea, from August 1. gategourmet Korea has been selected as the airline’s catering services provider.
On August 3, gategourmet Korea executed its inaugural catering service for Aeromexico, the sole direct flight connecting Korea and Mexico. The airline will offer a daily flight, positioning itself as the exclusive carrier in Latin America with connectivity to both territories, the September 3 press release said.
The route’s outbound leg from Mexico will include a stopover at Monterrey International Airport, (MTY) while the return flight from Seoul will operate as a non-stop service to Mexico City. During this initial phase, the airline plans to offer more than 12,000 seats per month. Aeromexico’s flights to the Korean capital will be serviced by 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
In response to gategourmet’s service, Aeromexico’s support team extended a special appreciation and said, “It was the smoothest start-up experience we’ve ever had.”
The onboard crew also conveyed their appreciation for the “Lovely Service,” the press release said.
This milestone represents a significant opportunity for gategourmet Korea to integrate with Aeromexico’s re-launch, adding a crucial airline client to its portfolio. gategourmet said it is looking forward to deepening its partnership as Aeromexico expands its presence in Korea.
