Saudia serves special inflight menu for Ramadan
Saudia Airlines has announced it will serve a special Ramadan menu to passengers throughout the month, starting from the anticipated first day of fasting. The airline will provide special Ramadan boxes on all domestic flights and selected ultra short-haul international flights, coinciding with Iftar and Suhoor timings. All passengers in Economy Class, Business Class and First Class, will receive these boxes, featuring a selection of two sandwiches, laban, basbousa, mamoul and Ajwa dates.
Both domestic and international AlFursan lounges will reflect the spirit of Ramadan, Saudia said in its March 11 press release. International AlFursan lounges will offer an enhanced selection of local Saudi favourites during Iftar and Suhoor, along with continuous service throughout the day to accommodate all fasting schedules.
Domestic lounges will welcome guests with a buffet spread of traditional flavours during Iftar and Suhoor. An a la carte menu will be available during fasting hours.
During the flights, announcements will be made to notify passengers of Iftar and Suhoor timings. Saudia will also feature an onboard prayer area in selected aircraft, allowing travellers to continue their worship during the journey.
