Icelandair partners with Newrest Group for inflight catering services
Icelandair and Newrest Group partner in 12-year agreement
Icelandair announced it has signed a long-term 12-year partnership with Newrest Group to provide catering and logistics solutions. Icelandair’s catering services operate one of the largest catering kitchens in Iceland, providing catering for all Icelandair flights, the press release said. Starting February 1st, Newrest will be the caterer of Icelandair, based out of Keflavik.
Newrest partners with a number of international airlines, including SAS, Delta, United Airlines and Air Canada. The operations for Icelandair’s catering will take place in the catering unit of Keflavik International Airport (KEF). The unit will be fitted with the latest technologies and innovations to reflect Newrest Group and Icelandair’s commitments to the environment and sustainability.
