ANA to introduce new wines in lounges and international flights
After an exhaustive process, ANA is updating its wine selection for both its lounges and international flights
All Nippon Airways (ANA) is to gradually update its wine selection in its lounge and onboard international flights.
From September, the airline will add a new wine selection for passengers in the ANA LOUNGE for international flights and in the ANA SUITE LOUNGE for both international and domestic flights. Passengers will be able to enjoy the new wines onboard international flights beginning in December. ANA SUITE LOUNGE and ANA LOUNGE in Honolulu are not applicable.
ANA's first major renewal of the wine selection since December 2019, began its wine selection process began in November 2022 with a review of more than 1,000 wines from around the world. Approximately 250 wines were selected for a more thorough assessment and tastings by ANA's wine specialists and award-winning sommeliers. The result is a well-balanced selection of 41 wines, including some continuously selected, from around the world, including French and Japanese wines.
"The process of curating our final collection of 41 new wines, designed for service both on the ground and in-flight, has involved extensive collaboration and meticulous research," said Tomoji Ishii, Executive Vice President, Customer Experience Management and Planning of ANA in an August 16 press release. "We look forward to presenting these choices to our passengers to enhance their ANA experience. Our goal with this thoughtfully assembled new wine selection is to offer choices that will resonate with every valued customer."
