SSP opens new restaurant at San José Mineta International Airport
The new restaurant welcomes travellers, boasting bright green details with warm-toned floors
SSP America opened a new restaurant called “Jim Stump’s Taproom + Kitchen” at San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC). SJC celebrated the opening of the restaurant with a ribbon-cutting ceremony in late April, attended by the city’s mayor, Matt Mahan alongside officials from the airport and SSP America.
“Today, we not only cut the ribbon on a wonderful new dining experience at SJC, but on a new opportunity to showcase the great talent generated right here in San José. It’s another chance to serve our passengers with the world-class customer experience they have come to love and expect at our airport,” said SJC’s Director of Aviation, John Aitken, in an April 28 press release. “My thanks go to Jim Stump and SSP America for their partnership and to our airport team for their work to bring this vision to life.”
The new place is located near Gates 23 and 24 in Terminal B and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. It offers a gastropub-style menu that includes many of Jim Stump's favourite dishes, which have made him a premier South Bay chef. The menu includes a light and tasty quinoa and kale salad, as well as his hearty and delicious trademark Bolognese. The restaurant also features a tailored list of craft beers, cocktails, and wines, including San Jose-based J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines, as the house brand. Stump’s classic American cuisine has been open to the public since March 30.

Jim Stump’s Taproom + Kitchen is the first of nine permanent concepts to be delivered by SSP America under its new SJC contract.
