As American Airlines rolls out its new menu, there is a story behind a dessert customers can find onboard select American Airlines flights this week.

Tamara Turner founded Silver Spoon Desserts in her Aurora, Illinois, home. She pursued her passion and along the way created opportunities for her children and her community. Years later American Airlines came knocking, and Turner set up shop in a 16,000-square-foot Chicago facility.

The bundt cake from Silver Spoon Desserts cakes is served in domestic premium cabins on flights between 900 and 1,499 miles.
