easyJet scoops up Mr Lee’s Noodles
Mr Lee’s Noodles has announced the launch of its gourmet instant noodles on easyJet. The brand’s award-winning Coconut Chicken Laska flavor is now offered as an inflight meal on the airline’s European routes.
Coconut Chicken Laska is the winner of the Great Taste Awards 2019 and a finalist for this year’s QualityFoods Awards and Onboard Hospitality Awards 2018. This dish consists of chicken curry rice noodles with chunks of 100% chicken breast, creamy coconut, cauliflower, green beans and turmeric.
“Mr Lee’s Noodles’ mission is to shake up instant noodles’ reputation as unhealthy and improve the ready meals category through the introduction of a premium, rice noodle product made with absolutely no nasties – no MSG, palm oil, artificial additives, preservatives, colors or flavors,” says the release of the launch announcement from the company.
The entire range of Mr Lee’s Noodles includes six gluten-free flavors that are low-sugar certified by Sugarwise and feature two flavors registered with The Vegan Society.
The release says there is “more to come in 2020” in terms of airline carriers. The rice-noodles-in-a-cup brand launched its Hong Kong Street Beef flavor on Virgin Australia Airlines last month and also flies with Norwegian Airways.
