Finnair debuts new menu by Chef Sung-Yeol Nam
Finnair's Signature Chef program has welcomed a new talent to its lineup, Chef Sung-Yeol Nam. This appointment marks the first time one of the airline's menus has been created by a Korean chef.
The menu, available in Business Class on flights between Seoul and Helsinki, "represents [Chef Sung-Yeol Nam's] food philosophy of traditional Korean food with a modern twists," according to a release from Finnair. The first series of meals will be available from May until July 2018 and includes an appetizer of beef rolls with young greens and a main course of seabass Jeon with grilled spring onion and Romanesco sauce.
"I have found my inspiration from the ingredients and the food I grew up with," said Chef Nam in a press release from the airline. "I hope that my dishes will bring joy and comfort for those longing for home, but also appeal to those who are not so familiar with Korean cuisine."
