Saudia and Buzz launch Minions-themed children's kits
The Minions' themed travel kit for kids is now available on Saudia flights
Saudia has launched the Minions range of children’s kits, created by Buzz. Based on Illumination’s humorous and playful characters, the kits are designed to bring joy to young passengers onboard.
The Minions range is in collaboration with the animated franchise, following the release of last year’s movie, Minions: The Rise of Gru, and ahead of the upcoming film Despicable Me 4, scheduled for release in July 2024.
The children’s kits contain a mixture of play-based activities, keepsakes and bags for use during and post-flight, the press release said. Young passengers on long-haul flights will receive the Minions Travel backpack, made from recycled fabric. Inside the kit, kids will find a Minions memory game, a character keyring, a USB charging cable and buildable Minions figurines.
Kids travelling on short-haul flights will receive a tin case with a felt lining, containing a Minions magic reveal card game, electrostatic puzzle postcards, a sticky note pad and a jumping Bob buildable.
Buzz focused on sustainability when designing the kits. All polybags have been removed and replaced with craft paper belly bands. The materials used for the kits were carefully selected, with RPET and recyclable tin along with paper-based activities used to minimize the inclusion of plastic.
Reusability is a key detail of these children’s kits, which are retail-quality with functional items inside. The kits are now available onboard Saudia.
