Cathay Pacific releases 70s inspired travel bag for 77th anniversary
Cathay Pacific has released a range of 70s-inspired travel bags and accessories called the Cathay Classic Collection to mark its 77th anniversary. The collection includes a luggage tag, a passport holder and bowling bags.
The 70s-style bowling bag is available in two designs (cream and dark green), bringing back the vintage style that was once associated with Cathay Pacific. The cream version of the bag features the airline’s signature Tung Hoi design, a dark green wave pattern that symbolizes the promise to “ride the wave and forge ahead." The dark green version of the bowling bag is adorned with two white stripes, similar to the pre-90s aircraft livery.
In addition to the design elements, the bags feature premium silver hardware and a front slip pocket, along with a wide zip opening for the main compartment. The airline created the bag with the passenger in mind, making it suitable for a weekend getaway or a quick workout at the gym. There is also a mini version of the bag with all the same features on a smaller scale.
The collection pays tribute to Cathay Pacific’s history on its 77th anniversary, bringing forth the values of the past as the airline forges ahead.
The selection of products is available to purchase from the Cathay Shop for a limited time and for inflight delivery.
