LATAM goes plastic-free with Kaelis
Kaelis is helping LATAM meet its sustainability goals. Currently, the airline gets rid of all single-use plastic packaging in its business class cabins all across the floors and isles. Together with Kaelis, according to a recent release, the airline has now developed sustainable reusable packaging for its mattress pillow and duvet onboard.
The canvas bags add to the comfort and home-like feel inside the cabin. The sustainability story is shared with a simple message on the bag. "The sand tone and cylindrical design of these natural bags add to the aesthetic appeal inviting passengers to a great start to their journey," the release said.
These initiatives are part of LATAM's sustainability strategy. The airline's goals include: zero landfill waste by 2027, offsetting 50 percent of domestic emissions by 2030 and being carbon neutral by 2050.
Kaelis is proud to be a part of the change and to be helping airlines achieve sustainable goals.
