Kaelis partners with COPPTECH on antimicrobial technology

By Sabrina Pirillo

Products treated with this technology are non-toxic, eco-friendly and safe for use

Kaelis unveiled this week a partnership with biocide technology company COPPTECH to create a line of onboard products that have antimicrobial protection.

The technology has been tested and validated by the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Southampton, certifying its capacity eliminate the COVID-19 virus and protect against infectious diseases, pathogenic microbes, bacteria, viruses and fungi.

Products treated with the technology, such as pajamas, blankets, pillows, socks, pouches, trays, jugs, ice buckets, crew masks and galley equipment, will act as a “shield” against harmful microbes, according to the October 21 press release. Blankets with the COPPTECH technology are flying with LATAM. .

“The most important thing now is to convince passengers that traveling is safe,” said Kaelis CEO, Federico Heitz. “Only by taking the necessary action to do this, we will be able to make this industry thrive again.”

Kaelis will produce solutions for the onboard sector using this technology, the release adds. This partnership follows Kaelis’ announcement of its modified company registration name from Kaelis On Board Services S.L. to Kaelis World S.L. and the launch of its new website. The new name extends Kaelis’ commitment to its personal protective equipment supply-chain management, moving beyond just supplying onboard services.
