Air France lounge opens at CDG
Air France unveiled their completed Business Class lounge at Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG), located in Hall L of Terminal 2E. More than 200,000 customers have already tried out the lounge since its first portion opened last January.
The bar area "Le Balcon" was designed by noted French designer Mathieu Lehanneur. According to a release from the airline, the space is filled with blue velvet-upholstered chairs, sofas, pedestal tables and connectivity services.
Every evening from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., specially designed cocktails created by Hotel Lancaster will be served in the bar, including "Un air de Paris," a champagne-based cocktail created specially for Air France. A "Destination" cocktail inspired by the airline's worldwide routes and non-alcoholic options featuring the flavors of France will be offered every month.
The dining area, Gourmet Table, features an open kitchen where meals are prepared by chefs in front of lounge guests, while the self-service area offers hot and cold food options such as casseroles, salads and pastries.
A selection of wines and champagnes by Paolo Basso, named the world’s best sommelier in 2013, will also be offered.
