Condor Flugdienst has taken delivery of its first A330neo aircraft, with galleys and stowage from Bucher Leichtbau.

The fully customized products have been shipped to Airbus Toulouse for their integration into the new A330-900 fleet, part of the carrier’s modernization of its single-aisle fleet.

According to a December 20 statement, Bucher says the passenger experience was one of the most important considerations for the airline and for the choice of supplier.

The Swiss-made combined galley-stowage monuments include integrated branding elements using Condor’s unique décor materials and a hybrid welcome area.

Bucher Galleys are made of over 65% aluminum. After a useful life span of over 20 years these aluminum components can be fully recycled through a remelting process that only consumes 5% of the initial energy used to produce the primary aluminum.

The 16 A330neos will replace previous generation aircraft in their fleet to reduce Condor’s operating costs as well as fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by 25%. Condor’s A330neo will accommodate 310 passengers, featuring c30 seats in Business, 64 seats in Premium Economy and 216 seats in Economy class.
