Mirus adds Hawk Duo to A320 Family catalogue
Mirus Aircraft Seating’s Hawk Duo recline Economy seat has been added to the A320 Family BFE Catalogue for airline selection
Mirus Aircraft Seating has added its next-generation Hawk Duo recline Economy seat to the A320 Family Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) Catalogue, giving airlines another lightweight seating option that can be selected directly during the aircraft cabin definition process.
The seat has been included in the Airbus catalogue from July 2026 and joins Mirus’ Hawk Infinity and Kestrel products, expanding the company’s economy seating portfolio for airlines seeking different combinations of passenger comfort, operational efficiency and cost performance.
Designed for both single-aisle and twin-aisle markets, Hawk Duo is Mirus’ latest Economy seat. The seat weighs from 8.5 kilograms per passenger, fully dressed, including synthetic covers and seatbelts.
Mirus said Hawk Duo offers increased passenger living space, a five-inch recline and ergonomic comfort. Its simplified architecture and reduced parts count are designed to improve reliability and reduce maintenance and operating costs. The lightweight design also supports lower fuel burn and reduced CO₂ emissions.
“We are proud to see Hawk Duo join the Airbus BFE Catalogue, alongside Hawk Infinity and Kestrel,” said Ben McGuire, Chief Executive Officer at Mirus Aircraft Seating. “This is another important milestone for Mirus and reflects our commitment to delivering innovative seating solutions that combine passenger comfort with operational efficiency.”
Hawk Duo complements Hawk Infinity, Mirus’ flagship reclining Economy seat, which offers airlines a combination of passenger comfort, operational gains and cost improvements.
It also joins Kestrel, the company’s ultra-lightweight fixed-back Economy seat, designed for operators focused on maximizing efficiency without compromising passenger comfort.
