Jamco Interiors’ presence at AIX 2026 marked a clear shift for the supplier with the introduction of a reimagined brand, new leadership and backing from Bain Capital. As Kate Schaefer, CEO & Executive Chair at Jamco Interiors, tells PAX Tech, the company’s Hamburg showcase underscored its unified direction and future ambitions.

For the first time, Jamco Interiors presented its full cabin portfolio together as a single, connected environment, showcasing seating, galleys, lavatories and branding not as individual products, but as parts of a cohesive system.

“That trajectory is already taking shape in how we design, how we partner and how we scale. We are building greater integration, expanding our range and strengthening our ability to deliver complete cabin solutions,” Schaefer explains.

She says the cohesive system is further strengthened by the integration of Aerospace Technologies Group (ATG), Iacobucci HF Aerospace and Schüschke, adding depth in capability, technology and execution.

Acquisitions for greater integration
The recent acquisitions of Iacobucci HF Aerospace, ATG and Schüschke are closely aligned with the broader vision for Jamco Interiors, Schaefer tells PAX Tech. That vision is to become a truly integrated, global leader in cabin interiors.

“Each has been carefully selected not only for its track record of success, but also for how naturally it fits within the holistic Jamco Interiors ecosystem,” she says.

Iacobucci, which was acquired by Jamco Interiors in December 2025, brings deep expertise in advanced galley inserts and systems, complementing Jamco Interiors’ established strengths in galleys and overall cabin integration.

Meanwhile, ATG’s advanced window shade systems pair with Jamco Interiors Business and First Class seating, enabling a more cohesive passenger experience, such as synchronized control of multiple windows through the in-seat interface.

The January acquisition of Schüschke adds depth in materials, technology, CMF capabilities and supply chain robustness, strengthening Jamco Interiors lavatory offerings.

“Together, these acquisitions enhance both the range and integration of our portfolio. Just as importantly, Jamco Interiors provides these companies with greater global visibility, scale and access to a broader customer base, amplifying the impact of their technologies within a fully integrated cabin solution,” Schaefer says.

Back in business

With a strong presence and a clear message at AIX 2026, Schaefer says it was clear through conversations with airlines and OEMs that Jamco Interiors has re-established itself a major industry player, with renewed investment the First and Business Class seats market.

“It was energizing to feel that sense of welcome and to reconnect as a trusted partner known for quality products and strong relationships,” she says.

Capacity and availability are also central themes for Jamco Interiors, particularly in premium seating. With market demand still constrained by the supply chain, Schaefer emphasizes that the ability for suppliers to support near-term Business Class programs remains a clear priority for airlines and OEMs.

“We are focused on delivering integrated cabin solutions with the speed, flexibility and scale to support what comes next,” Schaefer says. She points to the AIX announcement of Jamco Interiors partnership with Proponent as its exclusive global distributor for aftermarket spare parts, further highlighting its focus on improving availability, responsiveness and overall service across the product lifecycle.

Jamco Interiors is forging ahead on this new trajectory in how it designs, partners and scales, focusing on greater integration, range and strengthening the complete cabin ecosystem.

“It is an exciting time for Jamco Interiors, and we are focused on carrying that momentum forward with our customers and partners,” Schaefer says.
