Scottish Leather Group opens Glasgow facility to support large‑scale BioPRO production

Scottish Leather Group has announced the opening of a new BioPRO foam production facility at one of its historic sites, which has been part of Scottish Leather Group’s manufacturing story for more than 150 years.
The company's Dunn Street facility in Glasgow, originally home to Muirhead’s leather manufacturing, has now been re‑established to support large‑scale BioPRO production and the next phase of material innovation.
Bringing foam production into this restored site enables Bridge of Weir Leather and Muirhead to deliver more integrated interior solutions across their customer sectors including automotive, aviation and passenger transport.
"This investment marks an important step in how we continue to advance responsible materials, while securing the long‑term future of a site that has played a role in our history for generations," Scottish Leather Group said via LinkedIn.
