Premium Business cabin experience on LATAM’s upcoming A321XLR aircraft

LATAM Airlines Group is set to introduce a new Premium Business Suite on its upcoming A321XLR aircraft, becoming the first airline in South America to offer full-flat seats with doors on a single-aisle aircraft.

The new aircraft, scheduled to enter the fleet starting in 2027, will feature Thompson Aero Seating’s VantageSOLO seats in a 1-1 configuration, providing 100 percent direct aisle access for passengers.

Designed to deliver a long-haul experience on narrow-body aircraft, the Premium Business cabin will include full-flat seats, individual doors for added privacy and the latest generation of inflight entertainment screens with Bluetooth connectivity and onboard Wi-Fi.

The aircraft will accommodate more than 170 passengers across Premium Business and Economy cabins. In Economy Class, LATAM has selected the Recaro R3 seat in a 3-3 configuration, offering an updated onboard experience across the cabin.

“The Airbus A321XLR allows us to take our value proposition to the next level and elevate the travel experience for our passengers,” said Paulo Miranda, Chief Experience and Customer Officer at LATAM Airlines Group, in a statement released during Aircraft Interiors Expo.

The A321XLR’s extended range, approximately 50 percent greater than other aircraft in the A320neo Family, will allow LATAM to explore new routes and strengthen connectivity across its network.

LATAM unveiled a preview of the cabin concept at Aircraft Interiors Expo, developed in collaboration with PriestmanGoode. The design reflects South America’s landscapes and materials, combining regional inspiration with a contemporary aesthetic.

The introduction of the A321XLR forms part of LATAM’s broader fleet modernization strategy, with the group holding commitments for more than 10 aircraft and first deliveries expected in 2027.
