Expliseat today unveiled TiSeat S, a new family of Business Class seats at Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) 2026 in Hamburg, bringing the company's proven titanium and carbon fiber technology into the Business Class segment. Designed to elevate the experience of Business Class travelers across aircraft platforms, the new seat family addresses a longstanding gap in modern premium seating options.
TiSeat S is designed to deliver up to 40 percent lower weight, compared with current industry standards, significantly reducing total cost of ownership, while maintaining the robustness and reliability required to support long-term fleet value. Targeting E-Jets and CRJs in its first application, the seat enables airlines to unlock a new balance between premium comfort and operational efficiency, where weight savings directly support enhanced passenger experience and product differentiation. The seat family is designed to scale seamlessly to single-aisle aircraft, including A320 and 737 families, as well as integrating extended-range features such as IFE and enhanced passenger amenities.
The new platform strengthens Expliseat’s nose-to-tail cabin strategy, complementing TiSeat 2X with a coherent design language and shared engineering architecture across economy and business class cabins.
“TiSeat S brings a new level of performance to business class," said Amaury Barberot, Chief Executive Officer, Expliseat. “Business class travelers expect a seamless and elevated experience across their entire journey. With TiSeat S, we apply our proven lightweight technology to deliver a premium product that combines comfort, efficiency, and consistency across aircraft platforms.”
Shaped with airline input
Developed over the past two years in close collaboration with leading airlines across North America and Europe, TiSeat S reflects an extensive advisory process combining workshops and prototype demonstrations. Airlines consistently highlighted its modern aesthetic, integrated features, and strong focus on privacy and personal space — describing it as a solution that brings widebody-level experience to the regional market. These priorities are integrated through an advanced all-carbon fiber backshell, advanced cushioning, ergonomically integrated storage, and seamless personal device usage - while maintaining a structure engineered for long-term reliability.
“Airlines made it clear: business class seats must deliver both premium passenger appeal and strong economics,’’ said Antonio Ficca, VP Strategy and Marketing, Expliseat. “With TiSeat S, we've built a scalable platform: durable, adaptable across fleets, with entry into service planned for 2027. We have seen a growing airline focus on cabin premiumization. Business travelers represent the highest-value segment for premium airlines, and this product enables them to fully capture that value with a solution that performs over time.”
