Expliseat has revealed its bold new brand identity today at AIX in Hamburg, Germany, marking a pivotal moment in the company’s journey from aerospace pioneer to full-fledged industry disruptor. With the rebrand, Expliseat is now positioned as a technology-driven manufacturer delivering next-generation seating solutions for today’s demands and tomorrow’s mobility landscape.

The company has expanded its footprint in the competitive U.S. market, further establishing its global presence. Additionally, Expliseat has secured a strong standing in Airbus’s Eco Efficiency Index standard, underscoring its commitment to sustainability and performance.

Expliseat—in collaboration with Air France and Hop!—is a Crystal Cabin Award finalist. These accomplishments, along with growing product endorsements by returning customers mark a pivotal transition for the company.

Expliseat’s transformation reflects a sharpened ambition to lead through sustainable innovation, advanced engineering and sophisticated manufacturing capabilities. With a relentless focus on impact, Expliseat is redefining what mobility operators can expect — lightweight, durable and comfortable seating solutions that are economically smart and ecologically responsible.

“In a world where the freedom to move must go hand in hand with our responsibility to the planet, we’re not just making seats. We’re enabling a better future for mobility,” said Amaury Barberot, CEO of Expliseat. “Our new identity reflects who we have become — a company driven by ingenuity, committed to our customers’ success, and ready to challenge the status quo across industries.”

Today, the company is scaling its expertise and its impact: entering new sectors, expanding its industrial footprint and unlocking new performance benchmarks for mobility operators worldwide.

"Our business has transformed dramatically and our products have evolved significantly over the past few years, reaching design maturity and now exceeding aesthetics standards. Our customers and OEM partners endorsed that, we wanted our identity to evolve at the same pace," said Barberot. "The rebranding marks a new Expliseat both inside the company and out, with a strategy hyper-focused on our unique technology, our commercial expansion and our drive for ecological and economical sustainability. Expliseat’s core values of ingenuity, excellence, pragmatism and dedication, along with its clear strategy, will power the company's transformation as we partner with the industry and our clients to help them better understand how to change the future of mobility for generations."

The new brand identity encapsulates this momentum. It communicates Expliseat’s core belief: that true innovation lies at the intersection of lightness, strength and intelligence — and that every product must serve both people and planet.

“At Expliseat, we believe that the future of mobility depends also on disruptive technologies that deliver immediate impact. Our ultra-lightweight seating technology, backed by over 100 patents, is already changing the industry” said Barberot. “We welcomed Airbus's invitation to contribute to the Eco Efficiency Index: as weight represents about 97 percent of a seat emission through its lifecycle, developing lightweight solutions is the most effective and immediate way to drive sustainable results, both ecologically and economically.”

Antonio Ficca, Vice President of Strategy, Marketing and Communications, Expliseat, also commented: “With over 30 percent lower than average in their category, the Eco Efficiency Index score for our TiSeat 2X lite and prime reflects the benefit that our 100 percent advanced seat provide.”

Expanding in the U.S. Market / MRO Expliseat’s transformation is well underway, marked by accelerating momentum in North America—a key market for the company. Building on its established customer base, including industry leaders like Porter Airlines, Expliseat has achieved milestone with Air Canada / Jazz’s 2024 selection of the TiSeat 2 V for its Dash 8-400 fleet. Further reinforcing its commitment to the region, Expliseat has established a commercial hub in Montreal, Canada, strengthening its local presence and customer support capabilities. These strategic advances underscore Expliseat’s growing influence and execution of its long-term vision in the aviation seating market.

“The North American regional aviation market is one of the largest in the world, yet it has historically been underserved when it comes to true seating innovation. Passengers today expect a state-of-the-art travel experience, and network airlines want seamless branding across their fleets. Expliseat’s TiSeat 2X is the only solution that delivers on all fronts—enhancing passenger comfort, increasing efficiency, and driving profitability for airlines,” said JF Tessier, Vice-President, Sales, North America at Expliseat.

Expliseat expansion ambitions extend further, with a plan to establish a Maintenance Repairs and Overhaul network with North America-based partners.

“Establishing a strong network of MRO Partners in North America is essential to our growth. To that extent we have begun discussions with local MRO providers with the objective to set up agreements by the end of 2025,” said Barberot.

The backrest is thoughtfully designed with additional features, under-seat storage, a PED holder zone, dual-cup holders, and USB ports, addressing the growing demand for advanced, connected, and interactive solutions among modern passengers, regardless of the airline they choose.

"We have set ourselves a target of reducing CO2 emissions per passenger, in line with our decarbonization strategy. Fewer kilos on board means less fuel consumption and therefore less CO2. Thanks to Expliseat, we've found the best possible compromise between customer comfort and lightness," said Fabien Pelous, SVP Customer Experience at Air France.

Expliseat’s commitment to cutting-edge aircraft seating solutions has earned the repeat trust of its first customers like Air Tahiti. A long-standing customer of the TiSeat 1, Air Tahiti has placed a repeat order for Expliseat’s innovative seating solutions, reinforcing confidence in our technology after successful initial implementation—a powerful endorsement of the company’s relentless innovation and performance, the April 8 press release said. This recurring partnership highlights how Expliseat’s advancements deliver tangible value, prompting satisfied customers to return for next-generation solutions like the TiSeat 2 series.

“As the launch customer of the TiSeat 1, we continued our partnership with Expliseat and upgraded our product offering to the TiSeat 2. Since entering service a few months ago, this new seat has fully met expectations, offering enhanced comfort and functionality. Its exclusive features, including the PED holder and adjustable headrest, have been well received, while the reinforced cushion, greater recline, and enlarged 3D backrest are especially valued on our longest flights. The TiSeat 2 perfectly supports Air Tahiti’s ambition to elevate its onboard experience with an IFE and Premium service in the front rows, while preserving its crucial lightweight advantage and reinforcing our commitment to reducing carbon emissions. An investment worth making," said Franck LAUMONIER, Executive Advisor to the CEO, Air Tahiti.
