Air Tahiti elevates Economy with Expliseat
Air Tahiti is introducing a heightened level of lightweight comfort onboard with the installation of Expliseat’s TiSeat 2 V Prime. This lightweight Economy Class seat features a large backrest and thick cushions with double foam for optimal comfort, adjustable headrest and offers built-in multimedia support for Personal Electronic Devices on the seatback.
“We’re proud to see the new TiSeat 2 V Prime installed on Air Tahiti's fleet,” Expliseat said via LinkedIn. “Paired with Air Tahiti’s vibrant colors, the TiSeat 2 V delivers the perfect balance of style, comfort and efficiency for every journey.”
The seats are individual, ensuring more comfort and space for each passenger, Air Tahiti said in its press release. They are lightweight yet robust, constructed from composite materials and titanium, meeting international HIC (Head Injury Criteria) safety standards.
Air Tahiti also commented on the installation of the seat specially designed for the airline: “This evolution is in line with our constant environmental commitment, with our ATRs consuming 45 percent less fuel and our partnership with Expliseat in a circular economy approach.”
The airline has also announced the launch of its first Premium Class, coming in April 2025. The Premium cabin will include eight privileged seats, snacks with Polynesian flavours, extended baggage allowance and other exclusive services.
“A great deal of love to our teams and partners who make Air Tahiti the first regional airline to offer this level of comfort!” Air Tahiti said via LinkedIn.
