Finnair selects RECARO's R1 and R2 for E190 retrofit

RECARO Aircraft Seating (RECARO) has been selected by Finnair for a cabin retrofit of 12 E190 aircraft with the RECARO R1 and R2 Economy Class seats. This will be the second Embraer program to feature the R1 and R2.
The cabins will feature a hybrid layout, with R2 in the first nine rows and R1 in the rest of the cabin. The R2 will include the RECARO patented high literature pocket with an integrated tablet holder. Both the R1 and R2 have been selected for their lightweight design to support Finnair’s sustainability initiatives, the November 18 press release said.
