Expliseat inaugurates Angers assembly facility
Expliseat has inaugurated its first assembly plant in Angers on September 13. The 6000 square metre installation allows Expliseat to increase its production capacity and move towards becoming an industrial SME.
Winner of the France 2030 “Première Usine” call for projects, Expliseat is industrializing by increasing its production capacity, which could reach 37,000 seats produced per year by the end of the year. With this factory, Expliseat is preparing for a significant increase in pace, since it is on track to double the number of its seats in commercial service in the next 12 months.
Expliseat made the strategic decision to locate its facility in France, making it possible to contribute to the local and national economy, by creating jobs and re-industrializing the territory. Already, Expliseat has created 40 jobs over the last year and plans to create 80 more by 2026.
Thanks to the support of shareholders committed to reindustrialization and communities, Expliseat has installed its factory in a completely transformed building, which combines industrial performance and environmental responsibility.
The factory integrates 4.0 technologies, which introduce digital and industrial automation into the production cycle. These technologies make it possible to significantly optimize production and assembly for gains in productivity, quality and ergonomics.
Expliseat has chosen an updated HR policy, including a 35-hour week in four days for operators and technicians to promote work-life balance.
