SEKISUI KYDEX develops recycled grade thermoplastic custom colour for Thompson Aero Seating
KYDEX® 5555RCL custom colour for Thompson Aerospace rebranding
SEKISUI KYDEX has been recycling KYDEX® Thermoplastics for more than 20 years and supplying recycled products to a wide range of diverse industries. Now, the company has announced it is working with Thompson Aero Seating to use sustainable materials for its rebrand.
Through the partnership, SEKISUI KYDEX developed a recycled grade KYDEX® 5555RCL custom colour for Thompson Aero Seating. SEKISUI KYDEX designLab® and appLab™ Innovation Centers worked to expand the colour palette of the KYDEX® 5555 RCL product portfolio while using recycled KYDEX® Thermoplastics for this product line. The advanced KYDEX® 5555 RCL product line includes at least 50 percent recycled material.
Thompson Aero Seating showcased these materials at its booths (7B01, 7B04 and 7A02) at the Aircraft Interiors Expo last week in Hamburg. SEKISUI KYDEX also educated attendees on the capabilities of KYDEX® Thermoplastics’ customizable solutions and the impact of sustainability with the Green Cabin Alliance (GCA) at AIX.
