Tapis teases what's on tap for AIX
Commercial aircraft seating, outfitted by Tapis
Tapis Corporation (Tapis) is heading to AIX Hamburg this month and will be showcasing its array of luxury materials at booth 7C20. Hosting its "Aircraft Seating Innovation Center", visitors will have a chance to see Ultrafabrics, Ultrasuede and TapiSuede products on full-scale mockups.
These mockups include the latest version of Mirus’ Hawk in the Pantone Color of the Year, "Peach Fuzz", Acro Series 6R (Recline) in Promessa AV Bio, Geven Comoda and the newest creation from Chaise Longue.
Hawk by Mirus is a lightweight economy seat designed for airlines flying short to medium-range routes on single-aisle aircraft. The seat can be configured with a wide range of options and will be finished in Promessa AV Peach Fuzz, by Tapis’ global aviation partner, Ultrafabrics. Ultrafabrics is the exclusive materiality partner with Pantone.
The Acro Series 6R (Recline) features the signature fully composite curved seatbacks that are ergonomic and space efficient. These seats will be finished in Promessa AV Bio in the color "Acro Sage" by Tapis’ global aviation partner, Ultrafabrics. Promessa AV Bio contains 66 percent of rapidly renewable and recycled fibers.
The Geven Comoda is a premium economy long-range seat model, designed to offer comfort to the passenger with a spacious seat width. The seat features a recline up to 8”, amenities pockets, a cocktail table, bottle and cup holders.
A wide in-arm table in a single-leaf configuration, provided with an innovative swiveling mechanism provides a comfortable adjustment for travellers. Comoda can accommodate all last-generation wide screens available in the market and it can be installed on both Airbus and Boeing aircraft families
The Chaise Lounge ELEVATED CLASS provides a business class layout, utilizing a two-level structure. An official reveal of this seat is set to take place at 11:30 am on Tuesday, May 28th in Hamburg.
Tapis will also be focusing on sustainability, in their Sustainability Longue! This longue will showcase all of Tapis’ product offerings; including AV Bio by Ultrafabrics
