Recaro is "driving comfort in the sky"
Hamburg – Recaro Aircraft Seating is celebrating 50 years of seating innovation at this year’s AIX trade fair in Hamburg.
Using the tagline “driving comfort in the sky” at the event, the German supplier is presenting the newest Recaro CL6720 Business Class and CL3810 Economy Class seats, which were created to meet the needs of airlines and passengers.
Most recently, the CL3810’s ergonomic design earned a Focus Open Gold and iF Design Award.
The seats are developed with the company’s signature lightweight design methods. Another top priority are privacy solutions, which can be found on the Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy products.
Recaro is continuing its R&D investments, having allocated more than 10 percnet in 2021. It has also invested €50 million (US$52 million) in a brand-new customer service center, which features a crash facility and flam-lab.
In addition, the pre-configured SPRINT seat offers airlines an eight-week lead time and will also be showcased at the Recaro AIX booth.
Sustainability is a main driver for Recaro.
"From developing lighter products and minimizing the total cost of ownership to sourcing sustainable materials and extending the seat’s lifecycle, Recaro is committed to reducing the carbon footprint during product development, starting at the first step in the process," the company said in a press release published on the first day of the show.
