Two Recaro seats selected for KLM Cityhopper 195-E2 fleet

By Rick Lundstrom

Recaro Aircraft Seating has been selected by KLM Cityhopper to outfit the 21 Embraer 195-E2 aircraft recently ordered.

Each aircraft will have a hybrid layout of Recaro BL3710 and SL3710 seats. The first 195-E2 is slated for delivery in the first quarter of 2021.

Weighing eight kilograms, the SL3710 is a popular choice for regional airlines. The ergonomically optimized seat design reduces fuel costs for airlines without sacrificing comfort for the passenger.

The BL3710 combines ergonomic design with numerous enhancement options for short and medium-haul flights. The seat’s design allows customers to select from a wide variety of armrests, upholstery and storage options.

With 132 seats on board, the 195-E2 will be the largest aircraft in KLM Cityhopper’s fleet. The Recaro BL3710 seat was featured at the KLM Cityhopper stand at KLM’s open house in October, which celebrated the airlines’ 100-year anniversary. Headquartered in Amsterdam with a fleet of more than 200 aircraft, KLM is the world’s oldest airline still operating under its original name.
