Dynamic Safety granted first seat approval

By Sabrina Pirillo

Dynamic Safety LLC has been granted TSO Approval for its Model DSS-101 Economy Class Passenger Seating System. This family of seating is designed for passenger comfort in narrow body aircraft such as 737 series and A320 series.

Made from flexible carbon fiber and aluminum, the contoured seat bottoms and seat backs have thick cushions for long-haul flights. The articulated seat pan is designed to synchronize with the reclining mechanism, promoting blood circulation to the legs during flight. The armrest-level seat pivot gives passengers more space when seats are in the reclined position.

Seats for 737 aircraft have generous seat widths and there are three width options available for the A320.

“We applied extensive design simulation with the latest CAE technologies focusing on safety (head injury criterion) and comfort,” said Jason Dai, President and Director of Engineering at Dynamic Safety, in a release from the company. “We are thrilled with the final approval and looking forward to working with our launch customer to deliver value to their fleet.”
